About Us

Hi my name is Christian Lewis, the managing director of CKL-Corrosion Consultancy (UK) Ltd.

CKL consists of a small team, formed in recognition of the need for specialist materials & corrosion consultancy support & training in the UK Oil & Gas, Refining, Power, & wider Manufacturing Industries.

I provide the principle consultancy support, develop the training packages, & deliver the face-to-face training courses to clients.

I’m a chartered Materials and Corrosion engineer & Integrity Manager, with 29 years relevant experience, holding an MSc (distinction), in Corrosion Control Engineering from the university of Manchester (UMIST).

I’m an active professional member of IOM3, ICorr, and EEMUA, and I’m a certified chartered engineer interview panel assessor.

I have worked in the oil and gas, oil refining, petrochemical, power, soap and detergents, ammonia refrigeration, edible oil refining & pharmaceutical industries within the materials-corrosion & integrity management disciplines throughout my entire career.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and get a great sense of satisfaction in delivering training and education that benefits other people.

I have specialist knowledge in developing risk based inspection & integrity operating window programs, corrosion control manual development, defining corrosion loops, managing on-line corrosion monitoring systems, failure diagnosis, materials selection, fabrication codes, standards & construction monitoring amongst many others.

I have worked for major blue chip organisations at various facilities around the world, some examples include; Unilever or Shell facilities in South Africa, Mexico, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Beirut, Chile, France, Germany, Southern Ireland, & various locations in the US.
